1. Job Purpose & Scope 

               This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems within the plant, including PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems.

The role covers factory automation, process optimization, machine integration, and troubleshooting to ensure stable and efficient production operations.

The Automation Engineer will support both local and regional automation projects, including new technology implementation, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position also contributes to knowledge sharing and technical capability development within the site.

3. Key Responsibilities & Job Content 

Automation System Development

• Design, program, and implement automation systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI).

• Integrate machines and control systems into production lines.

• Support new equipment installation and commissioning.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve automation system failures.

• Ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.

• Work closely with maintenance and production teams.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance productivity.

• Support ROPEX / Lean / CI initiatives.

• Optimize control systems and production processes.

Training & Knowledge Management

• Provide training and technical guidance to technicians and operators.

• Document automation systems and maintain technical records.

• Share best practices and support capability development at site.
