Review vessel requisitions and source quotations from approved suppliers. Evaluate supplier offers based on performance, approved supplier lists, pricing, quality, payment terms, and previous cooperation. Prepare supplier comparison reports, benchmark supplier performance, and maintain performance records. Place purchase orders and coordinate the safe and efficient delivery of requested items to vessels. Arrange logistics with agents and forwarders. Resolve discrepancies between vessels, suppliers, and delivered goods in a timely manner. Verify related invoices for accuracy and support payment processing. Maintain effective communication with vessels, clients, and suppliers. Perform other duties as assigned to support the department’s objectives.
