Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for database design, development and management
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
• Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
• Provide preventive system monitoring and maintenance support for database and related IT systems (e.g. database performance fine-tuning, cluster planning, capacity management, backup and recovery strategies, etc.)
• Provide technical support to ensure the development and changes meet market best practice and governance
• Plan and migrate databases to a central database running on corporate private cloud platform
• Provide technical update on database technologies to support various IT systems (e.g. low-code development platform)

Requirements

• University degree in computer science or related fields
• 4 to 6 years of experience in managing enterprise databases, preferably on Microsoft SQL server and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge on CI/CD pipeline and DevOps implementation with GitLab, Ansible and Jenkins is an advantage
• Self-motivated and innovative with good analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to learn and keep in pace with the latest and emerging technologies
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Need to work outside normal office hours from time-to-time as per request (e.g. support application deployment, database patch management, etc.)
