Project Technician | 10726 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £25,989 to £26,403 per annum (Scale D – Level 1) | £26,824 to £28,142 per annum (Scale E – Level 2) | £32,061 to £33,699 per annum (Scale G – Level 3) | County Hall, Norwich

We are looking for a Project Technician to work in our Infrastructure Delivery Team based at County Hall in Norwich. The successful candidate will assist with the delivery of highway design and construction, public consultation, planning and statutory consents for projects tending to be large in terms of their scope and value. These projects include the King’s Lynn Sustainable Transport and Regeneration Scheme (STARS) and the Norwich Western Link (NWL).

The Project Technician post is viewed as a training/development post and it is expected that the post holder will work towards a fully competent Project Technician. The post has three gradings (Level 1, 2 and 3). A Level 1 Technician will have or will be willing to start a recognised civil engineering qualification. A Level 2 Technician should have (or be nearing completion of) a National Certificate in Civil Engineering or be able to demonstrate equivalent technical ability. A level 3 Technician will have more experience and will already have a National Certificate in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and achieved EngTech professional status.
