Senior IT Business Analyst - Pharma R&D

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will independently manage end-to-end business analysis workstreams and drive key initiatives, tackling complex business problems with emerging ambiguity. Bringing a strong strategic mindset, you will actively partner with stakeholders to co-create and support the overall Product Strategy. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of the business domain, related technologies, and their interdependencies, applying advanced tools and techniques to translate requirements into strategic implementation plans. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams, shaping stakeholder perspectives, handling process interdependencies, and significantly contributing to the design and validation of effective solutions. You will also mentor junior analysts and actively shape team processes, methodologies, and best practices within the broader Community of Practice.
At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events.
The Opportunity
Lead Workstreams Independently: Manage end-to-end business analysis workstreams without guidance, proactively driving strategic initiatives through complex environments with emerging ambiguity.
Solve Complex Problems: Lead the deep analysis of business challenges, perform thorough domain research, execute root-cause analysis, and deliver comprehensive, high-quality requirements.
Act as a Trusted Advisor: Identify a diverse range of cross-functional stakeholders, building reliance through deep domain expertise while facilitating workshops and resolving conflicts to align project goals.
Shape Product Strategy: Co-create and support long-term Product Strategy, translating business requirements into actionable implementation plans and influencing tactical roadmap decisions.
Manage Product Complexity: Navigate multiple solutions across a broad product ecosystem, systematically evaluating immediate and long-term business impacts.
Apply Technical & Business Expertise: Leverage tools, principles, and techniques across data, usability, and process analysis to manage technical interdependencies and optimize efficiency.
Empower and Mentor Others: Guide junior and intermediate Business Analysts, helping them organize activities while shaping team ways of working and best practices.
Drive Organizational Development: Champion continuous process improvement and actively contribute to the growth of our internal global Community of Practice (CoP).
Who you are
Experienced Professional: You bring 5+ years of Business Analysis / Consultancy experience, with at least 3+ years of experience in the life sciences/pharma industry or the assigned business function.
Domain Expert: You possess deep knowledge and hands-on experience within the Pharmacovigilance (PV) domain (strongly preferred).
Formally Educated: You are educated to a degree level (Bachelor’s or Master's degree) in Information Technology, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent certified professional training.
Strategic Thinker: You have a proven track record of navigating ambiguous requirements, evaluating strategic options, and co-creating long-term Product Strategy aligned with business objectives.
Technical Practitioner: You hold advanced knowledge of Business Analysis/Consultancy concepts and practices, with demonstrated intermediate expertise in at least one specialized BA capability.
Elicitation Expert: You are highly proficient in requirements elicitation and documentation, ensuring absolute requirements traceability and consistent change management.
Strong Communicator & Mentor: You display exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, paired with a dedication to mentoring junior team members.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 170,100.00 PLN - 315,900.00 PLN. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors, including your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 15% subject to both individual and company performance.This position also offers an attractive benefits package.
