Title: Peer Support Specialist
Location: Kentucky River Community Care/ Breathitt County; Substance Use Disorder Program
Employment type: Full-Time
Education: High School or GED
Primary Duties:
- Serve as an active member of the client's treatment team, including participation in team meetings and treatment planning meetings.
- Implement and coordinate recovery plans for individual clients in assigned population group, including evaluation, consultation, education, and follow-up services.
- Serve as role model for clients by sharing own recovery process and teaching effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
- Provide advocacy services on behalf of clients.
- Inform supervisor and other members of treatment team, as indicated, of issues/concerns related to individual clients.
Shift/Days and Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Funding Source for Position: Funded in part or in whole from Federal, CHFS, and or other State funds.
