Description
Are you an outgoing and experienced payroll professional looking to join a dynamic payroll team? We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator.
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, our payroll team is responsible for processing and managing payroll for approximately 800 employees, ensuring it is accurate and delivered on time. This role ensures compliance with company policies and government regulations, maintains confidentiality, and provides excellent support to employees with payroll-related inquiries. Located at our Spruce Grove, Alberta, Corporate Head Office, you will work with employees across Canada to administer payroll and benefits for our weekly payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly Payroll for employees within your regional assigned payroll portfolio.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes.
- Use Dayforce to calculate weekly earnings and deductions.
- Ensure accurate tax withholdings and statutory deductions.
- Process ROEs as required.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
- Administer benefit deductions (health insurance and retirement plan) and reconcile as required.
- Coordinate payroll activities with Operations, HR, and Finance.
- Prepare reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information.
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Experience with Dayforce is a strong asset.
- Having obtained or working towards a PCP designation is an asset.
- 2-5 years of payroll processing experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- French language is an asset.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
- This is an in-office role five days per week, Monday – Friday.
