Finance Assistant Manager
On-site | Mon-Fri | Makati City
Job Summary
Supports the Finance Manager in overseeing financial operations with a strong emphasis on general accounting functions, financial reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Ensures the integrity of accounting processes while leading and developing the finance team to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee core general accounting functions including general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal control policies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Monitor cash flow and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and reports
- Supervise and mentor finance staff to maintain accuracy and efficiency
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting procedures and controls
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong expertise in general accounting principles and financial reporting
- CPA licensed or non-CPA candidates are welcome to apply
- Experience in an accounting firm is highly preferred but not required
- Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
