Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their global infrastructure team, playing a pivotal role in delivering advanced network solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, engineering, and oversight of network infrastructure, with a focus on colocation environments and ultra-low latency trading infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, engineer, and manage network components, including core network switching, firewalls, load balancers, telemetry, network CMDB, and automation.

• Drive full lifecycle management (architecture, design, build, operation, and retirement) of network solutions for a high-performance network estate.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of complex network infrastructures using a software-driven and automation-first approach.

• Oversee the successful delivery of network solutions for both corporate infrastructure and specialized ultra-low latency environments.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior vendors and engineering teams, ensuring the network infrastructure remains cutting-edge by staying informed on market trends and emerging technologies.

What Were Looking For:

• Expertise in high-performance network design, engineering, and implementation, particularly in trading and low-latency environments.

• In-depth knowledge of network vendor products, including Cisco, Arista, and Fortinet, with the ability to leverage vendor roadmaps and deliver impactful solutions.

• Proven experience with software-driven network architectures, agile methodologies, and automation.

• Strong experience in wide-area network engineering, including traffic prioritization and steering. Familiarity with Segment Routing would be a plus.

• Ability to collaborate with project management and network teams, taking full responsibility for delivering complex and high-performance network infrastructures.

• A deep understanding of the network vendor ecosystem and the ability to manage senior-level vendor relationships.
