Role Purpose

Support the accounting team with daily operations and assist with accounting overflow to help ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across the dealership.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and submit DMV paperwork in accordance with state rules and deadlines
• Assist with deal breakdowns and prepare contracts for finance sources
• Support lien payoff processing and reconciliation
• Process daily accounting reports and reconcile DMV registration schedules
• Handle DMV customer refunds with manager approval
• Follow up on missing used vehicle titles
• Assist with quarterly audits (K-208s, titles, COOs, dealer plates)
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including vehicle receivables, DMV, and lien payoffs
• Support miscellaneous accounting tasks as needed by management
• Ensure all work aligns with Hoffman Auto Group policies and procedures

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma required
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge and comfort working in Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear communicator who works well with a team
• Reliable, professional, and deadline-driven
• Automotive or dealership accounting experience is a plus — but not required
