Our client is a leading diversified conglomerate in the country widely known for its construction product. It is currently expanding into multiple product portfolios. As part of this strategic expansion, our client is established as a subsidiary company of the group.

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Assistant Manager – Business Development to support the growth and expansion of the business through client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue-generating initiatives. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, maintain strong client relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to achieve business objectives. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with a passion for driving business growth and market development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the corporate sector
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and security assessments
  • Prepare and present high-quality proposals and quotations
  • Manage tender submissions (government & private sector)
  • Negotiate and close long-term security service contracts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly business targets

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience in Sales / Business Development (B2B)
  • Experience in business development, corporate sales, or client relationship management is preferred
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close deals independently
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Existing network with HR / Admin / Facility / Procurement professionals is an added advantage

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Professional certifications in security or risk management will be an added advantage
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and site inspections
  • Valid Driving / Riding License
  • Fluent in Sinhala / Tamil with working knowledge of English
  • Target-oriented, self-motivated, and professional demeanor
