The Wireless Battery Management System’s team are seeking a motivated, experienced Staff System Test Engineer to provide support to our Automotive team located at ADI’s Limerick, Ireland site. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Automotive BMS /Wireless BMS are very complex solutions, designed and engineered by >100 engineers to an ASPICE model. Verification of those solutions is as critical as the design. It requires excellent system understanding, system verification thinking and close teamwork with Hardware + Software design, System Applications, System Architecture and Quality teams.
- The Staff System Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of wireless Battery Management Systems (BMS) through comprehensive systems verification testing activities. Working within the System Test Team, this role demands a unique blend of systems engineering discipline and test expertise. The successful candidate will analyse requirements, specifications and system implementations to devise rigorous test strategies that validate both functional correctness and resilience of wireless BMS products across their lifecycle.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum BSC or BENG in Electronic or Computer Engineering; MSEE or MSCE.
Experience and Skills:
- Understanding of Systems Engineering and/or formal testing of complex (ideally automotive) systems
- System development or System test experience that is compliant to an ASPICE model.
- C/C++ (embedded) and Python or other programming/scripting languages.
- Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using test tools and frameworks.
- Experience using CI/CD pipelines (for example Jenkins, GitLab)
- Experience with software revision control, repositories, and regression testing (for example Git, GitHub)
- Hands-on measurement experience in automated hardware validation
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
- Clear communicator with excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
- Motivated, proactive, fast learner and hands-on
- Nice to have:
- Exposure to OTA (over-the-air) update security testing, secure bootloaders, and firmware signing mechanisms
- Background in automated Software and System Verification
- Experience in wireless networking or RF
- Experience of requirements management (JAMA, DOORs etc.)
- Experience in the verification of functionally safe products
- Experience using an ASPICE compliant process
- ISTQB Foundation Level
