Crestron’s Core Technology & Strategic Partnerships team is seeking a Product Owner to join our passionate Product Management group. This role focuses on building industry-leading, enterprise-grade workplace solutions—specifically full-stack conferencing and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom)—integrated with Crestron’s hardware and software ecosystem.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 3–5 years of experience who is eager to grow, learn, and take on increasing responsibility. You’ll gain exposure to all aspects of product ownership, with mentorship from senior leaders. As you develop, you’ll have the opportunity to lead projects, manage certification cycles, and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the prioritization and grooming of the defect and feature backlog, working closely with engineering and within product management. Collaborate with product managers to maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with market needs and available development resources
  • Draft detailed use cases, user stories, and product requirements for engineering, with mentorship from senior team members
  • Assist in shepherding products through development, launch, and post-release support, including customer feedback and troubleshooting
  • Participate in certification processes for platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams, including documentation, test planning, and coordination with external labs
  • Help maintain product documentation, certification trackers, and internal wikis. Prepare summary decks and reports for leadership reviews
  • Work with engineering, QA, marketing, and external partners to align feature sets, integration points, and release schedules
  • Assess products and technologies from potential partners and competitors to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive products, and emerging disruptors to inform product strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in product management, engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Familiarity with using Jira is a plus
  • Familiarity with unified communications platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, marketing).
  • Self-starter with proven ability to constantly learn new software and hardware technologies and an ability to quickly put that learning into practice in support of highly visible real-world projects
  • Be able to research and become an expert on new technologies relevant to the product line.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to lead team meetings, set expectations, and hold people accountable for delivering the expected product
  • Team player with visible company spirit. Demonstrable ability to quickly gain the trust of key stakeholders, end-users, and co-workers alike.
  • Ability to be hands-on and engage with sales and customers to see how our products are getting installed/applied and be able to translate that experience into a better product.
