Description

Our client, a well-established bank, is looking to hire an SVP to join the ESG Finance team in Hong Kong.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive the growth and expansion of the bank's ESG business across North Asia
  • Proactively engage in marketing and business development to secure ESG financing opportunities and enhance the bank's ESG advisory capabilities
  • Take ownership of specific ESG transactions and country-specific initiatives, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic objectives and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with ESG teams across the bank to share insights, ideate, and unlock new business potential for the region
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on ESG market trends and regulations, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and contributing to external industry bodies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, environmental science, or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of banking experience
  • Extensive knowledge and proven track record in sustainability finance, including Green/Social Loan Principles, Transition Finance, and ESG disclosure standards
  • Strong analytical skills, coupled with the ability to secure buy-in from senior management and effectively negotiate with various internal and external parties
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player
  • Proven multi-tasking and attention to detail, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, both verbal and written
  • Less experienced candidates would be considered for a VP role.
