Senior Engineer - Cloud Solutions and Operations

Our client, a leading company in the tech industry, is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer - Cloud Solutions and Operations to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role ensures the seamless operation of cloud solutions with a focus on optimization, implementation, and information security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular health checks on critical applications across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises systems, ensuring uptime, stability, and performance.
• Collaborate with internal application operations, vendors, and hardware support teams to address issues quickly and effectively.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues affecting system, application, and database performance.
• Advise on improvements to maximize availability of critical business systems.
• Participate in system requirements gathering, design reviews, and raise concerns regarding functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Support a DevOps model to foster continuous integration with development teams.
• Troubleshoot failures, performance issues, and connectivity problems for cloud service users.
• Drive automation of processes to improve team efficiency and create automated deployment workflows.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of Linux OS and troubleshoot cloud solutions using native or third-party tools.
• Design and implement disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with Security Operations and Information Security teams to manage security in public cloud infrastructure.
• Manage and support public cloud production, testing, and development environments.
• Keep stakeholders informed on new technologies and solutions to improve cloud operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Industry certifications and extensive experience in similar technologies and products are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in cloud solutions and operations.
• Strong skills in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Perl) to enhance cloud operations.
• Proficient in troubleshooting issues in cloud and virtual environments.
• Experience with disaster recovery and security in public cloud services.
