GO-JEK Singapore Business Intelligence team is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join us!

A Business Intelligence developer’s objective is to facilitate the flow of quality data to the data warehouse and maintain its integrity and reliability so that analysts and business users can use reliable data to make decisions. BigQuery is our current data warehouse solution where we gather the data from all of GO-JEK’s microservices for better data discovery experience and to get new insight for business analysis. We use Airflow as a scheduler and dependency management solution for all BI jobs at various frequencies. Plus Google Deployment Manager and Docker for provisioning and application management solution.

The tech stack that we use is dynamic and we’re always open to other well-researched solutions. You are also expected to liaise with the wider BI developer and data warehouse team in Indonesia to leverage on their knowledge and implementations and contribute to the overall competencies of GOJEK BI as a centre of excellence in GOJEK.

Responsibilities

• Become a bridge communication between product or system engineers with business users or analysts from Singapore team
• Productinise ETL jobs with standardized scripts and tech stacks from HQ’s BI engineers
• Monitor Production & actively and independently debug issues in Production
• Research and conduct POC on the tech stacks to improve current infra, data pipelines with HQ’s BI engineers
• Collaborate with HQ BI Team to share best practices, in terms of engineering and workflow, and standardize those practices throughout services
• Have data quality, data cataloging, and data management in mind on every development
• Diligent in documenting any development so can easily be shared with engineers in your team or other local/ HQ teams

Minimum qualifications

• Expert in SQL and Data Warehouse Concept
• Expert in at least one programming language, especially Python or Shell or Java or Scala
• Knowledgeable about data modeling, data architecture, and data governance
• Proficient in Batch data processing
• Familiar in real-time data processing
• Familiar with SAP, Google Deployment Manager, Ansible, and Docker
• Understand the value of collaboration within teams and be customer oriented and result oriented
• Interested in being the glue between engineering and analysis
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data/ Software Engineer

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in mentoring or coaching people in learning new programming languages or concepts
• Experience in creating data pipeline for financial use
• Detail oriented person
• Data visualization with Tableau
