Job Title: Accountant

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support a short-term (2-3 weeks) finance project focused on account reconciliations and audit-related validation work. This role requires a detail-oriented accounting professional who can quickly step in, work independently, and deliver accurate outputs within a tight timeframe.

The selected candidate will work closely with the STAFFVIRTUAL CFO and finance leadership to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of reconciliation deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account, ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Match transactions across financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Identify, investigate, and flag discrepancies for review or correction
• Support audit-related validation and documentation checks
• Assist in cleaning, organizing, and verifying financial data
• Ensure timely completion of assigned reconciliation deliverables within the project timeline
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for clarification of accounting entries when needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and/or auditing
• Strong background in reconciliation work (bank, GL, or accounts reconciliation)
• Prior exposure to audit support (internal or external audit experience is preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data handling
• Proficient in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs quickly
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., ERP tools) is an advantage

Engagement Duration: 2–3 weeks (temporary project-based role)
