Description

Job Purpose:

Lead large‑scale Operations Digitalization and AI‑led transformation across core Operations units including Trade Finance, Compliance, Retail Banking Operations, Corporate Banking Operations, and Shared Services.

Skills and Experience needed:

The role is accountable for defining and executing the Agentic AI and AI/ML engineering vision for Operations, enabling straight‑through processing, decision automation, productivity uplift, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance. The incumbent will act as a bridge between Operations, Technology, and Data, ensuring business outcomes are realised through scalable, secure, and responsible AI solutions.

AI / GenAI / Agentic AI

• Strong hands‑on experience with AI/ML and GenAI solution design and delivery

• Expertise in RAG architectures, LLM fine‑tuning, prompt engineering, and guardrails

• Hands‑on exposure to Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, and multi‑agent systems

Operations & Digitalisation

• Proven experience in digitising large‑scale banking Operations (Trade, Compliance, Retail or Corporate Ops preferred)

• Strong understanding of document‑heavy, rule‑driven, and exception‑based Operations processes

MLOps & Engineering

• MLFlow, CI/CD pipelines, AIOps, Azure DevOps

• Docker, Kubernetes / AKS

• Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory

Cloud & Data Platforms

• Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI, Blob, Key Vault, Data Factory, Azure ML)

• Exposure to AWS / SageMaker is a plus

Programming & Frameworks

• Python, PySpark, SQL, REST APIs

• FastAPI, Flask, Django, Gradio

Experience & Soft Skills

• Experience in regulated environments (banking / financial services strongly preferred)

• Strong stakeholder management with Operations, Risk, Audit, and Senior Leadership

  • End to End Ownership all the applications in the cluster
  • Sound knowledge of all applications in the cluster
  • Roadmap for applications in the cluster
  • Accountable for all the deliveries of projects and URF for the cluster
  • Accountable for the stability of all applications in the cluster
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of critical issues on applications within the cluster
  • Ensure all project milestones are completed within planned Schedule. All projects are delivered within agreed budget with minimum risks
  • Ensure right level of engagement with architecture
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are implemented, and for the creation and maintenance of the associated documentation
  • Prepare root cause analysis of issues and present it to service management
  • Ensure the solution delivered meet business expectation, derive value and adhere to technology standards
  • Quality, cost and schedule management of assigned technology projects
  • Implement change management process for all change deliverables in Technology
  • Optimized technology solution delivery based on business requirements, existing applications, latest technology trends, total cost to operate, scalability and stability.
  • Focus on regulatory, control & audit requirements and manage all known risks related to team and projects.
  • Implement and deliver optimized Technology delivery for all changes working with Business, Technology operations, Technology Architects, ISG and Vendors
  • Minimize cost on technology deliverables by utilizing existing applications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with business partners across all levels.
  • Liaise with all functional teams, TOPS and other stakeholders on ensuring smooth closure of issues/concerns raised by business.
  • Accountable for the appropriateness of technology solutions delivered to assigned business / support units of the bank.
  • Deliver and support business analysis, solution and UAT management
  • Implement LEAN practices across Technology solution delivery
  • Ensure that the management is (at all times) informed of all risks, issues and their status.
  • Adhere to bank's operational risk policy.

  • 12 to 15 years of experience
  • Certification in technology will be added advantage
