Finance Clerk

Compensation: $18.45 per hour, part-time, fixed-term contract, flexible scheduling, engaging workplace culture

Science North is currently seeking a Finance Clerk to support our accounting team. As the successful candidate, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes, and helping ensure smooth administrative workflows within the team.

In This Role, You Will:

· Prepare daily and weekly revenue summaries and related journal entries
· Record revenue transactions accurately and in a timely manner
· Complete associated financial paperwork and documentation
· Perform data entry tasks with speed and accuracy
· Maintain organized filing systems for financial records
· Assist with a variety of other financial and clerical duties as needed

What you bring:
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Fast and accurate data entry skills
· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze issues and identify solutions
· Completion of general accounting courses
· Actively pursuing or planning to pursue a career in accounting (considered an asset)
· Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles
· Familiarity with computerized accounting systems
· Proficiency in using spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets)

Compensation Details:

· $18.45 per hour
· Contract position until June 30, 2026, with potential for extension
· 15–25 hours per week during regular office hours
· Flexible scheduling to accommodate course schedules or other commitments
