About the Project

We are seeking an experienced Senior AU Tax Accountant to support Australian clients across a diverse portfolio of businesses and entities. In this role, you will work closely with Australian accounting professionals, providing high-quality accounting, taxation, and compliance services while helping clients meet their financial and regulatory obligations.

This is a hybrid position based in Makati with a regular morning shift, offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values expertise, continuous learning, and quality outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Independently prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other compliance requirements.
  • Prepare financial statements and Australian income tax returns for various entity types.
  • Manage end-to-end accounting and taxation processes for Australian clients.
  • Review financial records and ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Work with business structures including Companies and Trusts, providing accurate accounting and tax support.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and Australian-based teams to resolve client queries and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate working papers and supporting documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to best-practice accounting workflows.

What You Need to Get the Job Done (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with an Australian accounting firm or servicing Australian clients.
  • Proven ability to independently prepare and complete:
    • Business Activity Statements (BAS)
    • Financial Statements
    • Australian Tax Returns
  • Strong understanding of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
  • Deep familiarity with common Australian commercial structures, particularly Companies and Trusts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
