Location: Remote

Summary

The Project Manager (PM) leads cross-functional projects across enterprise business units, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives. The PM coordinates strategy, planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment, applying project management and business analysis practices as needed based on project size and maturity. The PM is responsible for transparent reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement within the ePMO.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

Project Delivery & Governance

  • Lead project planning, strategy, and execution for enterprise initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, track milestones and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies); drive mitigation and escalation.
  • Identify and manage resource needs and clarify team roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide concise status updates and executive-ready communications.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Facilitate effective meetings and workshops; ensure decisions, actions, and owners are captured and tracked.
  • Serve as the conduit between business stakeholders (internal/external) and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
  • Liaison between internal and external (as needed) stakeholders and resources to ensure requirements are delivered on time and within budget.

Change, Risk, and Dependency Management

  • Facilitate change requests with impact analysis; maintain version-controlled baselines for scope, schedule, and requirements.
  • Surface cross-project dependencies within the ePMO portfolio and coordinate integrated timelines and handoffs.
  • Uses organizational tools and communication strategies to escalate risks and roadblocks, providing clear recommendations to guide decision‑making.

Reporting & PMO Standards

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, dashboards, and status reports; contribute to PMO portfolio reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to PMO templates, methods, and stage gates; recommend improvements to processes and tooling.

Minimum Education Requirements (must have documented proof):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Education/Experience Requirements:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Recent experience (within the last two years) in health insurance/managed care or third-party administration environments.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on project leadership (IT and/or business) across the full lifecycle.
  • Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Planner, or similar PM/BA toolsets.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements and plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently in a fast-paced environment; prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with executives, managers, SMEs, and external partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Service orientation; strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
  • Integrity, ethical practice, and confidentiality.
  • Strong problem solving, facilitation, and influencing without authority.
  • Organization, self-motivation, and sound decision-making under time constraints.

Access to Protected Health Information (PHI):

This position requires the employee to handle PHI for duties related to enrollment and eligibility issues. Access to PHI includes the MBS claim system, eligibility files, and any other source necessary to complete client enrollment. Policies and procedures will be strictly adhered to, ensuring PHI is protected as required by the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
