Our Maintenance Operations Leadership team is growing!

We are adding a second Vice President of Maintenance Operations role. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with all levels of leadership throughout the organization. The Vice President of Maintenance Operations is responsible for leading a team of our Regional Maintenance Managers and the broader maintenance teams to achieve consistent high-level financial, operational, and resident satisfaction results for each multifamily residential property within their portfolio.


They will partner in leading Goldmark Property Management’s overall maintenance service strategies and initiatives to achieve successful results. The Vice President of Maintenance Operations is a key partner in the development and implementation of company initiatives, policies, and processes.

The Vice President of Maintenance Operations is responsible for bringing together cross-functional teams aligned on common goals and objectives. They are responsible for ensuring individual team members' personal and professional growth and development through supporting, mentoring, coaching, informal and formal training, and consistent individual and team recognition. They will work diligently to hire, lead, train, develop, coach, motivate, and support high quality maintenance teams. The Vice President monitors and leads our Goldmark values for a positive impact throughout the organization. The Vice President will strive to be the industry expert in multifamily residential property maintenance and help grow the knowledge and expertise within their teams.
Starting salary at $125,000+ based on experience. This position may be located in Fargo, ND, or Minneapolis, MN.

We are looking for great candidates with:

  • Servant leadership with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and innovative with the desire for constant improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management or related subject preferred; or 5-10 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of residential maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years supervisory experience in a maintenance/facilities management role.
  • Familiar with federal, state, and jurisdictional laws and regulations concerning multi-family housing, Fair Housing, and team member safety.
  • Certified Property Maintenance Technician (CPMT) preferred, but not required.
  • Additional maintenance and facilities certifications strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain them (such as boilers license, HVAC certification, OSHA certification, etc).
  • Yardi Property Management Software preferred.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Platform.
  • Willingness to work extended hours in a demanding and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Must have vehicle, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
