Job Summary

The Director of Operations and Compliance will provide leadership to foster a culture that is focused on customer care and fiscal goal achievement and refining processes to ensure that operating targets of safety, risk, quality assurance, and cost control optimized operations are met.

Minimum Requirements


Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, nursing, health/hospital administration or related field preferred. High school diploma

or equivalent required.


Licensure/Certification:

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.


Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in mental health operations, behavioral health, psychiatric or related field.
  • Experience supervising members of a multidisciplinary team.

Skills:

Requires intermediate computer skills and experience in overseeing business, facility, and program operations.

Major Duties

  • Practice conduct that displays respect for all KVC colleagues and community stakeholders regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, or veteran status
  • Work with leaders and employees from several departments to enhance current operations and to uphold current protocols and operational standards
  • Take steps to ensure a culture that promotes ethical, individual integrity and cooperation, as well as building and maintaining accountable leadership teams
  • Monitor quality assurance processes to ensure daily and monthly environment of care, safety and security operating indicators are completed and shared with leaders
  • Oversight of safety, compliance and quality assurance and administrative functions at assigned building(s)
  • Participate in internal committees as directed (Medical Management/Executive Committee, Administrative Review, Committee (ARC), Performance Improvement (PI) Committee, and Safety Management Committees (SCM)
  • Provide direction to site leadership and ancillary employees that oversee ancillary and administrative services operations (maintenance, housekeeping, medical records and administrative services)
  • Be available as administrative emergency on-call as necessary and available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to site leadership
  • Develop and maintain systems to ensure services are following all company, local, state and federal regulatory standards and contract terms and conditions
  • Maintain proficiency in accreditation requirements and facilitate quality assurance activities to ensure compliance (TJC, CMS,
  • etc.)
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings, consultations, and staff meetings, as required
  • Acquire and develop operational resources to meet identified needs of clients and staff practices
  • Responsible for maintaining functional knowledge of all KVC systems, including but not limited to third party Electronic Health Records and Human Resources Information Systems
  • Participate as needed in the administrative team that reviews adverse incidents to determine appropriate follow up actions
