What’s the role?

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be the key link between Westpac and our mortgage broker partners – ensuring that they understand and trust our value proposition and actively promote Westpac to their clients. You’ll work closely with a core group of active brokers whilst tapping into a broader opportunity pool, ultimately holding responsibility for broker NPS and settlement targets through the management and maintenance of these relationships! Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and expand an active broker portfolio
  • Develop strong broker relationships whilst providing policy and product education as well as coaching on loan structuring
  • Troubleshoot pipeline issues, assist in mobilising deals through the credit process and provide solutions / escalations for complex scenarios
  • Host and attend networking events including webinars, coffee clusters and development days
  • Create business plans, hold regular strategy catch-ups and maintain a rolling applications pipeline

What do I need?

  • Experience in a Business Development Manager, Credit Assessor, Broker or Lender role
  • Comfortable and flexible to attend / host networking events – both in-person and virtually
  • The ability to work autonomously, manage a fast-paced pipeline and achieve set targets
  • Skilled in developing mutually beneficial relationships with external partners
  • Resilience, energy, enthusiasm, passion!
