BIG’s Shanghai studio is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of BIG in China.
该岗位将与中国区负责人紧密配合，共同制定市场策略并拓展 BIG 在中国的新项目业务。该岗位将在 Director of BIG China 制定的整体战略框架下，负责区域市场，并定期与中国项目相关的领导及合伙人沟通项目机会、建立客户关系及项目获取等事宜。

The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Director of BIG China to jointly define market strategies and expand BIG’s project portfolio in China. Within the overall strategic framework established by the Director of BIG China, the role will be responsible for designated regional markets and will regularly engage with project leaders and Partners involved in China-based projects to discuss project opportunities, client relationships, and project acquisition.
Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the full front-end business development process, advancing regional market strategies, identifying and developing new business opportunities, overseeing the back-end work of Business Development Coordinators, and building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and collaborators.

Develop new regional markets and lead business development efforts within assigned regions and/or sectors, including strategic coordination with BIG’s senior leadership and management of regional project pipelines.

Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with clients, consultants, and collaborators.

Independently manage multiple concurrent project opportunities (typically 4–10 at any given time), including converting potential opportunities into secured commissions.

Lead commission onboarding, including fee proposal development, negotiations, and handover to design teams.
• 针对特定区域或市场审查 RFP / RFQ / RFI，制定、统筹并审核相关提交材料，从战略层面清晰呈现 BIG 的设计理念与独特价值。
Review RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs for designated markets or sectors; develop, coordinate, and review submission materials, providing strategic input to articulate BIG’s design approach and unique value proposition.
• 与总监及合伙人共同参与潜在客户会议，主导客户后续沟通，并对新项目进行内部评估及策略建议。
Lead client meetings and follow-ups together with Directors and Partners, while internally assessing new opportunities and developing recommendations.
• 为客户、顾问及重要合作方组织并提供办公室及项目参观。
Coordinate and host office and project tours for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• 代表 BIG 参加行业活动、会议及相关交流。
Represent BIG at industry events, conferences, and relevant meetings.
• 参与管理层项目管线及排期会议。
Participate in leadership-level project pipeline and scheduling meetings.
• 维护 CRM 系统，并向管理层汇报新项目及潜在项目的进展。
Maintain and update CRM systems, reporting on new and potential project progress to leadership.
• 协助培训初级团队成员，并统筹管理商务协调员的工作成果。
Support the training and onboarding of junior team members, and oversee the output of Business Development Coordinators.
• 组织并参与 BIG 各办公室之间的管理层会议，并提供定期或临时的工作进度更新。
Organize and participate in management meetings across BIG offices and provide regular or ad-hoc status updates.
• 保持主动、自发的工作态度，持续提出建设性想法。
Maintain a proactive mindset, taking initiative and contributing new ideas.

任职要求
Qualifications
• 至少 5 年相关或类似岗位工作经验。
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
• 建筑学或相关专业 硕士学历。
A master’s degree in architecture or a related field.
• 中英文流利（掌握其他语言者优先）。
Fluency in English and Chinese, both spoken and written (additional languages are a plus).
• 熟练使用 Microsoft Office 及 Adobe Creative Suite（尤其是 InDesign），具备良好的平面与视觉表达能力。
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, with strong graphic and visual communication skills.
• 有 CRM 客户管理系统 使用经验者优先。
Experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
• 具备出色的沟通、组织与协调能力，对市场研究与战略分析有兴趣。
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong interest in market research and strategic positioning.
• 了解建筑设计流程、施工过程及城市规划，并能在不同环境中保持自律、自信并高效工作。
Solid understanding of architectural design processes, construction workflows, and urban planning, with the ability to remain self-disciplined, confident, and effective in fast-paced environments.
