We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to join our client"s team. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing solar systems for industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in solar design software, strong technical knowledge of renewable energy systems, and the ability to deliver cost-effective, safe, and efficient solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design solar systems (on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid) according to project requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and feasibility studies.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
• Size modules, inverters, cables, and protection devices to ensure optimal system performance.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical proposals, and cost estimates.
• Review and approve technical submittals and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
• Work closely with the project team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
• Perform energy yield analysis using design software (e.g. Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• Support project commissioning, testing, and handover.
• Stay updated with the latest solar technologies, regulations, and sustainability practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related engineering field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in solar design and engineering.
• Proficiency in solar design tools (AutoCAD, Helioscope, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of international and local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with grid-connected and hybrid solar systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
