Engineering Manager - Barrier & Flow Control
The Completions & Wellhead Integrity business line in Interwell is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the BFC engineering team. This role shall be within the CWI business line in Interwell reporting to the Vice President Technology – CWI.Application deadline: 25.06.2026
Start date: October 2026
Location: Voss/Stavanger

Responsibilities
- Manage the Completion R&D and Product teams (Voss/Stavanger/Remote) to ensure that engineering team delivers on time and budget, and according to client’s specifications, requirements and expectations
- Personal and Group Leader for R&D and Product engineers based in Voss/Stavanger/Remote ensuring high performance of the team
- Responsible for day-to-day management of the direct reports including but not limited to performance appraisals, absence, recruitment, competency, training and employee development
- Checking and approval of engineering deliverables (i.e. drawings, sketches, calculations and technical documentation)
- Provide technical expertise where required (i.e. feasibility studies, Design Reviews, tenders, client meetings, assessment to support decision for product development)
- Communication, support and collaboration with procurement, manufacturing, operations, sales and customers as required
- Technical investigation of equipment and reporting
- Ensure implementation and adherence of department and corporate processes for the engineering team
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and personal commitment to Interwell policies
- Travel is required based on company requirements – both domestic and international
- Responsibility for day-to-day management of the Employee, i.e performance, appraisals, absence, recruitment, competency, training, and employee development
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in engineering discipline, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
- Experience in development of downhole oilfield completion and/or intervention products.
- Experience in New Product Development and managing R&D projects
- Fluent English – oral and written
- Knowledge of CAD software
