Senior Field Security Investigator
Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join the SIU team as a Senior Field Security Investigator! As a Senior Field Security Investigator, you will conduct investigations of suspected cases of fraud or other illegal activities against the Company, including interviewing, database inquiries, taking statements, and locating sources of information and witnesses. Responsibilities include evaluating information to determine its credibility, referring, and coordinating investigation assignments to outside agencies, and providing training and support to all departments in the claims handling process.

Qualifications
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field, or
- Five years of insurance claims investigative experience (includes TCR1, TCR2, CU, PIP technical and/or PIP litigation desk experience), professional investigation experience with law enforcement agencies, or
- Seven years of professional investigation experience involving economic or insurance related matters
- Experience handling in-person or phone statements from various parties in an investigation in a way that builds GEICO’s customer base and promotes customer satisfaction through efficient, accurate, and courteous interactions
- Ability to gather a broad range of evidence related to an investigation and draw conclusions based on the information collected to the applicable fraud investigation
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize investigative volume workloads and stressful situations
- Must be able to always maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Must be able to document files in a clear, concise, professional written manner, to be understood by customers, clients, co-workers and other employees of the organization
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, certifications and permits in accordance with state and federal regulations, and company and departmental standards
- Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment and lift them to and from vehicles and carry them up and down steps
- Must be able to climb on, off, in, around and under vehicles, including but not limited to RVs and commercial vehicles
- Must be able to exercise caution and awareness of surroundings while performing the essential duties of the position
- Must be able to learn and apply large amount of technical and procedural information
- Knowledge of city, state, and local regulations, legal concepts, case law, medical treatments, and medical terminology
