Junior Python Engineer


London (Hybrid – 3 days in office)


Up to 60,000 + benefits


My client is a fast-growing fintech based in London, and they’re looking for a Junior Python Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a great opportunity to work on real-world financial products in a high-growth environment where technology is central to the business.


You’ll be joining a collaborative engineering team building scalable backend services and APIs, with the chance to develop your skills quickly and make a genuine impact. The business is growing rapidly, so this role offers strong progression and exposure to modern engineering practices.


What you’ll be doing

  • Building and maintaining backend services in Python.
  • Developing APIs and working on scalable financial systems.
  • Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
  • Contributing to technical improvements across the platform.

What they’re looking for

  • Commercial experience with Python, ideally 1–3 years.
  • Experience with backend development and REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
