ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Young Adult Services - Arlington

Salary Range: $53,000.00 - $55,500.00/year + sign-on bonus (half paid after 30 days of employment and half paid after 90 days of employment/pro-rated for part-time).

The Assistant Program Director is to assist in managing, directing and overseeing operations of the Program.


What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the overall functioning of the program operations as assigned by the Program Director
  • Responsible for activity planning and ensuring that all residents have access to appropriate recreation
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely completion of all required shift documentation and all notifications of incidents to appropriate people by the end of shift.
  • Provide case management and treatment planning for young adults living at the staffed residence.
  • Maintain excellent communication with referral sources, families and collaterals.
  • Responsible for supervision and on the floor training of Residential Counselors, Overnight Milieu Counselors and Provisional staff.
  • May provide transportation to clients, as necessary.
  • Participates in Supervisors and Staff meeting and attend scheduled supervision and trainings.
  • Responsible for petty cash.
  • Responsible for initiating and attending special events for the Program.
  • Attend assigned leadership management meetings as assigned.
  • Participate in an agency-wide subcommittee.
  • Attend all DMH meetings assigned by the Program Director.
  • Responsible for the facility cleanliness.
  • Oversight of Medication Administration Program and responsible for annual MAP review by DMH.
  • All other duties assigned by the Program Director
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain First Aid, CPR and MAP certification.
  • Responsible for on-call coverage as assigned and scheduled
  • Complete intakes if needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (or active participating in bachelors’ program).
  • At least 2+ years of work in residential.
  • Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

We will train you in:  Motivational Interviewing; Trauma Informed Practice; Attachment, Regulation and Competency Model (ARC); MAP, CPR, First Aid training provided upon hire.
