Description

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking responsible, self-motivated students to staff our campus-wide IT support services, respond to e-mail inquiries, sort and process work tickets, run routine IT repairs on campus, and help with special projects such as mass installations of software/hardware. The successful candidates will be assigned to work directly with IT management and distributed local IT staff to resolve technology issues in various departments. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Plays an integral role as front-line staff in the IT support operations of the UNM Valencia campus by responding to and troubleshooting email, online, and in-person inquiries • Manage computer lab/classroom systems with IT Staff • Configures, manages and repairs computers, printers, smartphones, and other devices used by faculty, staff and students • Provides in-the-field assistance to users with various computer hardware and software issues • Utilizes a central ticketing system to communicate with colleagues and resolve issues in conjunction with higher-level IT resources both centrally and within their assigned department • Assists in maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies
