SUMMARY
The Project Manager LWM is a critical role for the coordination of planning and execution phases of custom tensile structures for Lightweight Manufacturing’s customers. This work includes the coordination of multiple activities including technical design, procurement, planning, sequencing, and logistics of materials delivery and services to support installation. Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the planning and managing the execution of multiple tensioned fabric projects simultaneously from design to completion. This includes defining the projects’ scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with Senior Management, Engineers, Drafters, Shop representatives, and Customers.
- Coordinating design work with internal Engineers and Drafters, any necessary outside architectural and engineering firms, customers, and other parties with design interest
- Identifying the Critical Path, setting deadlines for completion of core tasks, and ensuring timelines are met by team members.
- Could eventually take on the coordination with Engineers and Drafters and communicating with vendors to prepare detailed quotes for new projects.
- Purchasing of raw materials from multiple vendors across multiple manufacturing sites
- Coordinating with Logistics for scheduling of material deliveries to site
- Chairing Production Meetings and identifying risks and developing contingency plans to mitigate delays, cost overruns, or quality issues.
- Act as point of contact and provide regular updates for customers and suppliers engaged in LWM projects.
- Initiating continuous improvement to the project management processes.
The Project Manager will be located in Whitehall, PA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Process Design:
- Develop methods to drive responsiveness to customers’ changing needs
- Develop tools to enable project pre-planning in advance of entering orders into Odoo
- Develop database and communication tools to ensure availability of concise and accurate information to all project stakeholders
Process Operation:
- Be the one-source of truth for multi-faceted projects
- Establish and maintain a high-performance customer service experience for coordinating work
- Be flexible and responsive to demands based on changing customer needs throughout a project
- Identify Critical Path and remove roadblocks to complete project milestones on time or ahead of schedule
Continuous Improvement:
- Define and Measure KPIs for project execution.
- Identify improvement projects to meaningfully improve KPIs
- Set individual benchmarks for efficiency gains for all project stakeholders during project execution

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Engineering, Project Management, Business or related discipline OR equivalent proven field experience.
- Experience in construction job site estimation (preferred)
- Experience in architectural drawing software (CAD, Revit, etc) (preferred)
- Minimum experience of 2-3 years of Project Management experience for complex construction project execution

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and competency with common project management software- Microsoft Projects, Smartsheets, or similar.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited information exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CLIMATE
The Project Manager (PM) needs to work well with others on their team to achieve the desired results. The PM must be able to work with minimal direction and must be able to be proactive in their approach to accomplishing multiple projects simultaneously.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to sit; use hands to telephone, enter data or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasional standing and walking required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
