Description

We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our team of caring professionals.

The Director of Human Resources reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This position will ensure effective administration of all HR policies and programs, benefits, employee relations, talent development, compensation, and performance management. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and will guide the organization in ensuring compliance with all applicable guidelines, legislation, and best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

  • Administers or oversees human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance, and talent management.
  • Maintains knowledge of best practices and new technologies to continuously improve our employee experience and HR function.
  • Act as an active and visible HR Partner to provide input, strong influence, and counsel on HR-related matters to successfully meet business growth objectives and drive improvements.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategies.
  • Create systems to attract talent, identify critical talent needs, and develop core competencies.
  • Manages accurate, compliant record systems for employee data and maintains official employment files.
  • Works closely with management and employees to provide consultation and guidance to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides guidance to resolve complex employee relations issues. Identifies and consults with the Executive team on matters of legal importance.
  • Communicate new policies, information, and directives to all employees.
  • Maintain open door policy.
  • Works cooperatively with Union representatives.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5- 10 years generalist experience in Human Resources.

HR/SPHR certification preferred.

Master’s degree required in Human Resources or equivalent. (i.e. MBA, Organizational Leadership, etc.)

Excellent Communication Skills

High level of computer proficiency including general business software and HRIS/Payroll software. Paycom preferred.
