Summary:

Cosm is looking for an experienced Network Administrator to support and maintain our Cosm venues and immersive live video productions. This role will focus on venue infrastructure and broadcast-related network admin duties, including venue installations, live event support, monitoring, security, updating policies, and working with various network technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is at the forefront of immersive entertainment technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Network Engineer(s), and Broadcast Engineers on developing the technology stack for live video production.
  • Monitor and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls, including reviewing security logs and updating policies.
  • Manage Cisco, Arista, and Mikrotik switches, including VLANs, BGP, VRFs, and some routing. Experience with CloudVision, a monitoring and management tool for Arista switches, is a plus.
  • Work with VPNs, security protocols, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
  • Work with broadcast teams and ISPs on circuit troubleshooting during live events.
  • Be Tier 2 support for venue operations and video production teams.
  • Manage Network Access Control (NAC), and network monitoring.
  • Utilize Python or Ansible for network automation, considered a valuable asset.
  • Act as part of the Global Operations team in monitoring the overall network.
  • Travel, as needed to participate in rack and stack activities for Cosm venue, builds.
  • Update and maintain network documentation.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT
  • 6+ years of experience working in Network Administration, focusing on management and tier 2 support.
  • A Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is required; additional certifications in Routing/Switching/Firewalls are a plus.
  • Able to manage, update, and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista, Mikrotik switches, and Palo Alto firewalls, including experience with CloudVision and Panorama.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, including monitoring, reviewing security logs, and updating policies.
  • Able to manage, update, and troubleshoot Routing/Switching/Wireless networks
  • Willingness to travel and ability to perform physical tasks such as rack and stack.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with other IT technologies including Supermicro, Dell, Rukus, and Meraki
  • Experience with supporting media, broadcast systems, and live video production
  • Experience with network security
  • Familiar with Broadcast Tech including SRT and other video transport methods, Video Encoding, Audio.
  • Familiar with Azure/GCP/AWS network design
  • Familiar with Infrastructure as Cloud methodology
  • Familiar with BGP routing protocol
  • Familiar with ST2110
  • Familiar with troubleshooting with ISPs
  • Familiar with QOS, Multicast and PTP

Work Environment:

  • Available for overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility required.
  • Must be able to work during a live production, with loud noise levels, and busy environments (non-office environment)
  • Comfortable lifting heavy objects up to 40 lbs

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $120,000 to $130,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
