The Role
As a Senior Account Partner, you will promote Veeva QualityOne solutions to help Food & Beverage. FMCG and Chemicals industries in Japan to support their digital transformation initiatives in Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and R&D.
You will oversee the full sales cycle from lead identification to closing the deal and responsible for Customer Success all along the process. As the key business development representative for Japan, you will work closely with Marketing, Strategy, and Solution Consultants to define key actions to close new opportunities at new customers and expand our customer base.
You will also work closely with Veeva's global sales team and account partners to support sales and customer success activity with global accounts who have a significant presence in Japan.
To ensure success in the role, Product Experts, Solutions Consultants, and Industry Experts will be part of your Selling team.
Expectation of working with others based in the Tokyo or Osaka office at least 3 days/week.
What You’ll Do
- Generate new opportunities for existing and new customers
- Work closely with your Account team (Strategy, Services, Marketing, Solution Consultant) to define an Account plan
- Work closely with the global account teams at Veeva to support opportunities that require coordinated activity in Japan
- Close new business on your territory
- Manage complex Sales Cycles from end to end
- Work as required with ISV’s and Systems Integrators as co-selling partners
- Manage your pipeline in CRM with accuracy and predictability
Requirements
- 10+ years professional experience in SaaS or enterprise software, managing complex sales cycles with a proven track record
- Strong experience in managing partner lead sales
- Entrepreneurship and tenacious mindset
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong strategic sales abilities to navigate accounts and opportunities
- Ambitious and comfortable taking initiative
- Ability to manage time and priorities
- Native Japanese and Business English
- Team player, able to handle accountability and direction
- Willingness to travel as needed
- BA or BS Degree
- Work Location is Veeva’s Tokyo or Osaka office
- 10+ years working for a SaaS or Enterprise Software company, in a Sales Executive or equivalent position (Account Partner / Account Manager / Sales Executive)
- Experience with or worked at large F&B and / or FMCG companies or Life Science industry
- Experience as a Management Consultant with R&D, quality management and/or supply chain functions at FMCG/Food & Beverage companies or Life Science industry, and so you’re able to understand the complex business processes that our customers operate
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients and prospects is a must – particularly in the area of product capability and associated business value
- Ability to be self-reliant, and to be able to work remotely or in a hybrid mode, often with minimal input from others in the team, and be able to manage & prioritize complex tasks across a number of customers & prospects
Nice to Have
- SaaS software sales experience in Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage or Chemicals industries or Life Science industry is highly desirable
- Sales management skills and experience are plus
