Description

Bring your systems accounting expertise to an industry with purpose, scale and global impact.

At MUFG Pension & Market Services, your experience in finance systems and accounting processes will translate directly into meaningful work supporting millions of Australians. As part of Australia’s leading superannuation administrator — backed by a global financial institution — you’ll work at the intersection of finance, technology and client delivery, helping ensure critical financial systems run accurately, efficiently and with minimal risk.

This is a hands‑on Systems Accountant role, ideal for someone experienced in ERP environments who enjoys problem‑solving, process improvement and acting as a key interface between Finance, Technology and external stakeholders. No prior superannuation experience is required.

About the role

As a Systems Accountant, you will support and administer core finance systems, providing first‑level support, managing system issues and driving improvements across financial processes. You’ll work closely with Client Accounting, IT and external vendors to ensure transactions are processed accurately, reporting is delivered on time, and system risks are well controlled.

This role combines BAU systems support with continuous improvement and project work, offering strong exposure across finance operations, system enhancements and change delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the key interface between Client Accounting and Technology, managing finance system issues, enhancements and problem‑solving.
  • Provide first‑level support for core finance systems (including ERP LN and Miraqle), ensuring incidents are resolved within SLAs and escalated appropriately.
  • Administer and monitor finance systems to optimise performance, minimise downtime and reduce operational risk.
  • Investigate, resolve and document system issues in Jira, creating clear procedures to support repeatable resolutions.
  • Support daily processing, unit pricing and crediting rate activities, working with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist with finance systems projects, including testing, documenting and implementing system changes and new functionality.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and control.
  • Ensure effective system controls are in place and escalate risks where required.

About you

Key experience and skills:

  • Experience working with Oracle, PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems (SAP, Baan/ERP LN).
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, controls and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills; SQL knowledge highly regarded.
  • Experience providing system support in a finance or financial services environment.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience working with incident or ticketing systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to engage finance teams, IT and external clients.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience in financial services or custodial environments.
  • CA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage but not essential
  • Exposure to administration platforms such as Aaspire.
  • Knowledge of superannuation or investment administration (training provided).
