Position Overview

• Develops and implements state of the art information technology strategies and platforms that meet current and future business needs.

• Performs all aspects of data and database administration including hardware and software evaluation and installation, logical and physical database design and implementation, structured testing of database designs, applications, technology platforms, security administration, backup and recovery planning, capacity planning, performance and tuning, research and evaluation of new tools and techniques, and development of policies, standards and procedures related to the database environment.

• Develops and maintains custom applications used by the Blood Connection.

Essential Functions

• Full Stack Development - Microsoft
• Database Administration, Development and Maintenance – MSSQL and minimal knowledge of variants (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Data Queries - Transact-SQL - Queries, Views, Stored Procedures, Common Table Expressions, Temp Tables, Cursors, Case Statements, Windows Functions, Aggregate Functions, Scalar Functions, Triggers, Join Types
• Data Analysis and Presentation – TSQL, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, Big Data and AI and machine learning software
• Backend Data Manipulation and Migration – SSIS, SSAS, Rest APIs, JSON, XML
• Backend Procedural Programing – C#, VBA
• Application and Middleware Design, Development and Maintenance - .NET, Java
• Frontend User Interface Design, Development and Maintenance – HTML, HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, ASP.NET, IIS

Minimum Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in a computer related field; four year degree in computer related field preferred (years of dedicated service in SQL and/or programming will be considered)
• Network and Security related certification(s)
• Two plus years’ experience in network and security roles, WAN/LAN environments
• Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches, Juniper switches, Palo-Alto firewalls, VLANs, VMWare, Aerohive access points, Cradlepoint WWAN
• Experience with Red Hat Linux is a plus
• Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
• Work schedule flexibility as the job demands include extended shifts, odd hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must maintain a working cell phone at all times to be able to call, text, and email

• Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
