Content Marketing Manager
Watermark
Job Type
Description
About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Content Marketing Manager to build and execute a full-funnel content strategy that connects Watermark’s mission to the needs of higher education leaders. You’ll lead the creation of persona-driven content that powers our integrated campaigns, strengthens our brand, and supports key digital growth initiatives—from SEO to web conversion to personalization.
This is not just a “write the blog post” role. You’ll bring structure, speed, and creativity to our content engine—helping us better reach and engage decision-makers like provosts, assessment leaders, deans, and faculty by showing how Watermark helps them move their institutions forward.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a full-funnel content strategy aligned to Watermark’s integrated campaigns, brand story, and go-to-market priorities
Build compelling content for every stage of the journey—from thought leadership to nurture flows to conversion-driving landing pages
Work closely with our digital and web teams to ensure content supports SEO performance, CTA optimization, and lead generation goals
Create top-of-funnel assets that position Watermark as a trusted voice in higher education—white papers, guides, articles, video scripts, etc.
Translate our persona messaging into clear, helpful, human content for different segments (assessment, faculty, provosts, etc.)
Help execute our omniSEO strategy by crafting content that is brand-forward and optimized for discoverability and authority
Support a refresh of our web CTA and personalization strategy by helping plan and test content that drives deeper engagement
Manage or create micro-content like social cutdowns, Canva visuals, short-form videos, etc., to support campaign needs
Track performance of content assets and apply insights to optimize future content creation and strategy
Mange the digital asset management platform (Bynder)
