We’re looking for a Digital Business Analyst to join us at a really exciting time in our Digital Transformation journey and support the introduction of an ambitious programme of Legal Aid Reform We want you to support the design, development and continuous improvement of our digital services.
You’ll play a key role in understanding business problems, identifying user needs, and shaping practical, evidence-based solutions that support SLAB’s digital transformation. Working within multidisciplinary Agile teams and policy colleagues across the business, you’ll help deliver services that are efficient, user-focused and aligned with organisational goals.
Key responsibilities include:
Identifying and analysing user and business needs to inform service design and system requirements
Facilitating workshops, interviews and discovery activities to gather and validate requirements
Documenting current and future processes, including gap analysis and improvement opportunities
Supporting Agile delivery through backlog refinement, prioritisation and iterative development
Assessing risks, dependencies and impacts of proposed changes
Analysing data to generate insight and support decision-making
Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and digital teams
Communicating complex information clearly to a range of audiences
Contributing to service improvement, including opportunities for automation and AI.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Experience in business analysis practices including research, modelling and problem definition
Experience gathering and documenting requirements
Strong process mapping and workflow modelling skills
Experience working in Agile environments and understanding iterative delivery
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide insight
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
