Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and ship repair services for the oil & gas and marine sectors. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented E&I Designer to support the Design & Engineering Department through the preparation and coordination of electrical and instrumentation design deliverables for various projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare electrical and instrumentation design drawings, layouts, schematics, and related engineering deliverables.

· Develop cable routing layouts, single line diagrams, termination drawings, hook-up drawings, and panel layouts.

· Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to ensure accurate design implementation.

· Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure design feasibility and constructability.

· Prepare design input documents, design change notes, and support design development activities.

· Review design documents prepared in-house or by subcontractors before approval and construction release.

· Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

· Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical clarifications and material requirements.

· Support material take-offs (MTO) and procurement activities related to E&I systems.

· Maintain proper documentation and version control of all design deliverables.

· Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party agencies on design-related matters.

· Ensure adherence to company quality and HSE standards in all design activities.

· Perform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Lead Designer.

Qualifications & Experience

· Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or related field.

· Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in E&I design within oil & gas, marine, fabrication, or EPC projects.

· Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, drawings, and industry standards.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, E&I design software, and MS Office.

· Experience in cable schedules, loop drawings, panel layouts, and instrumentation design.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

· Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and NEC is an advantage.

· Fluency in English (mandatory).
