Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, commercially driven, and strategic Head of Software Solutions to lead and scale the software solutions division within the IT industry.
The selected candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, identifying new market opportunities, leading software business strategy, and aligning technology solutions with customer and market needs. This role requires a business focused technology leader who can balance commercial leadership with strong technical understanding.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy and Growth
- Define and execute the software solutions strategy in line with company goals.
- Identify new revenue streams, market opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Own revenue growth and profitability responsibility for the software solutions division.
- Drive sales pipeline development, client acquisition, deal closures, and business expansion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients and business partners.
- Develop pricing models, proposals, and commercial strategies.
- Monitor industry trends and position the software solutions business competitively.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead cross functional teams across engineering, product, sales, and delivery.
- Build a high performance culture focused on innovation, delivery, and customer success.
- Mentor team leads and develop future leaders within the division.
- Align teams with business priorities, customer expectations, and delivery goals.
- Ensure clear communication between business, product, and technical teams.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent business qualification will be preferred.
- Minimum 10 plus years of experience in the software or IT industry.
- Minimum 5 plus years of experience in a leadership or business management role.
- Strong commercial acumen with a revenue driven mindset.
- Experience in B2B software sales, software solutioning, and client acquisition.
- Proven ability to lead market expansion, business growth, and strategic partnerships.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
- Good understanding of enterprise software solutions, cloud platforms, and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical direction.
- Experience scaling a software business, software unit, or
- technology solutions function will be highly preferred.
- Comfortable engaging with C level clients, business stakeholders, and senior leadership teams.
- Strong network within the IT and software industry will be an added advantage.
