Role Overview:
Our client, a leading financial services company is hiring a Legal Counsel to join its small team to manage global commercial and intellectual property disputes as well as commercial legal matters. This role supports strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance, and business operations across jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle litigation, arbitration, and IP matters.
• Manage trademark/patent registrations and brand protection.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts and review corporate materials.
• Advise on insurance business models, governance, and regulatory issues.
• Monitor legal developments and manage external counsel.

Requirements:

• Hong Kong-qualified lawyer with 5-9 years PQE; additional jurisdictional qualifications advantageous.
• Experience in dispute resolution and IP at an international law firm plus in-house experience in financial services; insurance/reinsurance a plus.
• Strong commercial contract drafting skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
