Description

The Oracle Retail POS Developer role is responsible for developing, managing, and supporting retail store POS systems used for billing and transaction processing. It encompasses the full development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment, along with providing L3 production support. The role also involves enhancing Oracle Retail Xstore POS systems by implementing fixes and continuous improvements

  1. Develop, customize, and maintain Oracle Retail Xstore POS applications based on business requirements.

  2. Troubleshoot and resolve POS issues related to stores, registers, transactions, payments, and integrations.

  3. Analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes (RCA) for recurring issues.

  4. Collaborate with Oracle Support, cross-functional teams, and vendors for issue resolution and enhancements.

  5. Design and deploy code changes, patches, and configurations across multiple store environments.

  6. Support payment integrations (cards, wallets, financing options) and ensure smooth transaction lifecycle (authorization, settlement, reconciliation).

  7. Develop and implement automation scripts/tools for deployment, validation, monitoring, and regression testing.

  8. Monitor system alerts and ensure high availability and performance of POS systems.

  9. Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs for support and operational processes.

  10. Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, and impact assessment for new features or enhancements.

5 + years of experience in POS Developer.

  1. Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Retail Xstore POS development and Major and minor upgrades.

  2. Work hands-on experience with Oracle Xstore (V19 or higher). Xadmin

  3. Must have experience Spring Boot and REST, SOAP,XML, JSON API experience.

  4. Must have Git, Jenkins.

  5. Proficiency in Java and POS application architecture.

  6. Experience in Xstore version migration/upgrade projects.

  7. Strong knowledge of deployment processes, code merging, and release management.
