Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Algorithmic Trading Java Developer to join our client's Automated Risk Trading (ART) team in Hong Kong. This team builds data- and model-driven global e-trading systems to automate trading, hedging, and market-making for the Institutional Equity Division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance a Java-based option execution platform aimed at automating risk hedging in major Asian listed markets.
• Participate in the full application lifecycle within a fast-paced, high-stakes agile development environment.
• Collaborate with a global team and communicate effectively with colleagues across various regions.
• Engage in continuous delivery practices across multiple global markets.

Qualifications:

• Expert-level core Java knowledge in a UNIX/Linux environment.
• Proven experience with Java, garbage collection, and Linux OS-level debugging and performance tuning.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration within a global team.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with algorithmic trading concepts and practices.
• Experience with automated trading systems and risk management tools.
• Understanding of financial markets, particularly in equity trading.
