Your New Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has become available for an Applications Product Engineer to join Penske Australia's On Highway Technical Services team based in Wacol. Reporting to the Engineering Manager – On Highway, you'll play a critical role in providing technical support and engineering expertise across Penske's premium truck product range. Working closely with customers, dealers, body builders, sales teams and internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure vehicles are configured, modified and applied correctly to meet customer requirements while maintaining compliance, safety and performance standards. In this role you will: Provide technical support and engineering advice to customers, dealers and internal stakeholders. Develop chassis configuration drawings and technical documentation. Assess vehicle applications, ratings and compliance requirements. Perform engineering calculations relating to vehicle ratings, weight distribution and vehicle suitability. Support customers and body builders with vehicle selection, modifications and accessory fitment requirements. Provide technical guidance regarding warranty, compliance and safety implications of vehicle modifications. Prepare sales drawings and engineering documentation to support customer solutions. Support Sales and Marketing teams with technical product information and application expertise. Prepare and maintain application approvals and technical submissions. Assist with engineering design activities including drawings, bills of materials and technical documentation. Support the introduction of new products, features and options. Participate in prototype evaluations, compliance testing and product validation activities. Represent Penske at industry events, truck shows and customer engagement activities. Drive continuous improvement and contribute to exceptional customer service outcomes.
