Position Summary:
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees. This role conducts market research, analyzes compensation data, ensures internal equity, and supports compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Compensation Analyst partners with the People team to provide insights and recommendations that align pay practices with organizational goals.
This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Director of Total Rewards.
What You Will Do:
Compensation Administration
- Conduct regular market benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Maintain salary structures, pay ranges, and compensation models and recommend appropriate adjustments when necessary.
- Perform job evaluations and ensure roles are appropriately leveled within the organization.
- Own the job description process for consistent tone, formatting, and language. Load jobs into the HRIS system and oversee the centralized document depository.
- Provide People Business Partners and leaders with rapid, accurate compensation data and guidance to support hiring, promotions, and organizational changes.
- Support annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, promotions, and incentive plan administration.
- Complete compensation-related audits, equity reviews, and policy updates and recommend appropriate actions.
- Assist with the variable compensation plan administration and analytics.
- Assist in the creation of SOPs within the Compensation function.
Compliance and Reporting (30%)
- Maintain data accuracy withing all compensation tools and HRIS modules.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership on KPIs, compensation and benefit trends, and workforce cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pay regulations, including pay transparency laws.
Additional Team Support (10%)
- Serve as a backup to the benefit and leave positions when necessary.
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or related HR/finance roles.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems.
- Experience with compensation survey tools (e.g. Mercer, Salary.com) preferred.
- Preferred:
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress toward certification.
- Advanced data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex compensation concepts to non-specialists.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in data management.
- Experience working in a remote environment with large, non-exempt workforce a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; adjust readily to multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid change.
- Analyzes, problem solves situations and takes or recommends appropriate action in collaboration with leadership.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding time frames.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours across US time zones. Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)
Physical Demands:
Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
- Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)
- Keyboarding (70-90%)
- Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone requiring close vision (70-90%)
Work Environment:
- 100% Remote: Work environment is at home.
Compensation:
$80,000 to $85,000 determined by competitive market analysis and internal equity considerations. Final compensation will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs.
