The Opportunity
As Project Support Officer, you will provide administrative and event support to Access to High Demand Professions (AHDP), a Widening Participation project at the University. You will work on Access to Creative Education Scotland (ACES) Edinburgh as well as Reach Edinburgh and contribute to supporting eligible school pupils with their application to Higher Education in high-demand subject areas.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- You have an understanding of, and empathy for, the student groups targeted within Widening Participation programmes
- You are a team player who strives to support colleagues as well as external audiences
- Very good written and oral communication skills
- Excellent IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office packages
This post is part time (17.5 hours per week). Working days may be agreed to fall between Tuesdays to Fridays. Work on campus on Fridays is required as the successful candidate will support regular events, including the ACES Portfolio Preparation Programme on Fridays 13:00-18:00 between 11 September 2026 to 22 January 2027. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) check will also be required.
