YOUR TASKS
• Participate in the development and implementation of banking IT systems and digital solutions for banking clients
• Assist in the configuration, customization, and development of core functionalities within the Avaloq banking system under guidance of senior team members
• Support the full software development life cycle, including analysis, requirements engineering, development, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to system design, technical specifications, and integration of banking applications, while supporting the modernization of the banking platform through containerization, cloud-native development, and third-party system integrations
• Support testing activities (unit, integration, UAT) and assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Participate in deployment, release management, and post-production support
• Work closely with internal IT teams and clients, gaining exposure to real banking system environments
• Document technical solutions, configurations, and development processes
• Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders; occasional travel may be required
YOUR PROFILE
Education & Professional Experience:
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• Initial professional experience or internship in software development, IT, or financial services is an advantage
• Basic understanding of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum) is a plus
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong interest in IT and software development; hands-on programming experience (e.g. Java, SQL, scripting) is required
• Understanding of system integration, APIs, or database concepts is beneficial
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Familiarity with development tools, version control systems, and collaboration platforms
• Good communication skills in English
• Team player with proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a structured IT environment and take ownership of assigned tasks
