Description

In your role as a Business Development Manager you play a key role in expanding the company’s customer base by leading the identification and acquisition of new business opportunities in supply chain services within the local market. The position is responsible for building and managing the local sales function, while developing a structured and effective business development approach that supports the company’s growth ambitions. What will you do? Drive the identification and development of new commercial opportunities across the country for warehousing activities. Manage participation in tenders and requests for proposals, ensuring a competitive and well-structured commercial approach. Collaborate closely with Group Business Development teams to support local market growth and contribute to wider international business development initiatives. Evaluate the feasibility of customer opportunities by ensuring alignment between market demand and operational capabilities. Partner with operations teams to define and implement action plans that support customer requirements and service excellence. Contribute to business case preparation, including revenue projections, ROI analysis, and activity sizing for new opportunities. Develop high-quality commercial proposals and support contract negotiations with prospective and existing customers. Support the management of customer escalations and disputes, ensuring constructive and business-oriented resolution. Oversee the follow-up of customer activity performance, including KPI monitoring, variance analysis, and communication to internal and external stakeholders. Participate in strategic assessments related to the sizing and development of potential new sites. Who are we looking for? Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, economics, logistics, supply chain management or comparable 7-10 years Business Development Experience Industry Experience: SCM, Logistics, Warehousing, Commercial Real Estate Professional communication skills Negotiation Skills Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment Takes ownership for priorities, assumes responsibility for own action, works and communicates with honesty and integrity Action oriented, committed to results Fluent in English and Dutch, any other European languages is a plus
