2070 Health has raised $30 million from W Health Ventures, a Boston-based venture capital firm focused on helping build the future of healthcare delivery. Founded by serial technology entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist Sunil Wadhwani, W Health invests in and incubates early-stage companies that address critical unmet healthcare needs leveraging technology and AI.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio oversight and monitoring
- Performance monitoring: Set and run the cadence of management reporting and performance reviews across portfolio companies, tracking KPIs, financials, and key operating metrics against plan
- Reporting: Prepare board materials, portfolio dashboards, and quarterly reviews for the investment committee and limited partners, surfacing risks and opportunities early
- Valuation: Maintain valuation models and assess each company’s financial health and growth trajectory against the original investment thesis
- Stakeholder engagement: Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for portfolio companies, building trusted relationships with founders and management teams
Strategic & operational value creation
- Operational value addition: Partner with founders on strategic and operational priorities, including go-to-market, unit economics, pricing, and growth, to drive measurable improvement within portfolio companies
- Fundraising: Lead follow-on funding rounds for portfolio companies, preparing investor materials and financial models and managing the diligence process with prospective investors
- Exits and M&A: Evaluate strategic options, identify and engage prospective acquirers or buyers, and support deal structuring and execution through to close
- Strategic support: Assist founders on senior hiring, capital allocation, and other critical decisions across the portfolio
Governance and portfolio process
- Define strategic and operational KPIs with portfolio companies and embed a disciplined review cadence to track delivery against them
- Support board preparation, investor updates, and governance processes for portfolio companies
- Develop repeatable playbooks and best practices for portfolio monitoring, value creation, and exits across the fund
Requirements
You should apply if:
- You have 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking or venture capital, ideally with exposure to fundraising, M&A, or portfolio management
- You have strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with proficiency in valuation, due diligence, and performance analysis
- You have strong communication skills (we will be speaking with senior leaders, founders, bankers & investors)
- You are comfortable with ambiguity, work by first principles, and have exceptional problem-solving skills
- You have a self-driven, can-do attitude and willing to take initiative & iterate
- You have knowledge or interest in healthcare (preferred, but not required)
- You have comfort working with cross-functional teams
- You understand how a startup works and have a fail fast mentality
